Byebye ferrets, hello hamsters!... in a few years, probably.

Hmm, once my fuzzbutts go byebye, I'm definitely gonna start raising hamsters again... and possibly start the long-awaited breeding program 8D Screw mice; it's all about hamsters! XD I'm sure Ben'll love em too, albeit their uselessness.

Font

Wow, I just realized how difficult it is to read this font... It's so purty and <3sy though! rofl xD

Wheeee!!!

Yayyyyyyy!! Next year, I finally get to move into an apartment here at Davis :D and I'm sure you know what that means! Hamsters!!!!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! No no, I'm definitely not excited AT ALL ;] ;] ;] ;] ~boingboingboing~ xD Hopefully, I'll be able to start my breeding program... Only problem is, I'm not sure where to get my starting hamsters from. I mean, I'd love to breed Munchlet (and maybe his brother too) and all, but like... he's kinda old... 2 years ish? Not sure his sperm are still good, haha. Aside from that, I'm not sure it's a good idea breeding a young female with such an old male... especially since they weren't raised together. I read some stuff online about how you're supposed to breed hamsters that have been living together for some time, etc. etc.. I want to just use the glass wall method to get the two used to each other, but the effectiveness is not certain. I'm also afraid of the consequences of attempting to breed Munchlet.... It has been known for male hamsters who have been living with each other to get "jealous" of the one who gets mated... :\ I don't want my sweet brotherly little babies to get into an argument over some hamster chick, roflcakes. xD I might start googling for a Campbell breeder, and if I can't find anything (which is the most likely outcome), I'll just get Petco hamsters or something... despite how much I hate that idea ><" They don't always have "faulty" hamsters though, so... ionno. We'll see.

Other plans for the apartment (petwise):
1) RABBIT!!!!!
2) hedgehog! lawl lawl lawl

Rabbit:
Netherlands Dwarf from Willow Glen rabbitry or some one year old chestnut dutch rabbit from HRS down in San Diego... assuming he's still there by the time I get my apartment. If not, I'll find some other handsome bun :P

Oh, Momo is staying at home. She's become the family pet, not just my lil bunny girl. Thus speaking, she's not going anywhere haha. Parents love her, little sister loves her, etc. Momo's like my second little sis or sumthin, haha xD

Hedgehog... I needa find a breeder and shtuffs. Ionno how hedgehog raising works in California (or anywhere really)...

ladeedah...

Oh shit. I have a midterm in... 2:10-1:44 minutes LOL

Home!

I'm home with my baby boys again! Hooray! Munchlet and Munchkin are both doing quite well I must say, even in their old age. Munchlet squeaks a lot now, high pitchedly and rapidly, but I don't believe there's anything wrong with him. He's just a very vocal little hammy! :D I played with him for endless hours, and he seemed to like that. This morning, I worked on getting the dried crud from out of his nails, and succeeded. My little sister had tried before to no avail; God knows how long they've been in his paws. Anyhoo, they're gone now, and he seems delighted by the sudden release. Even while I was messing with his paws, he didn't so much as attempt to nip me. I was grabbing him, turning him around, pinning him down, messing with his foot, etc., yet all he did was squirm and seem to say "Stop it Mommy! :'[". Oh, how I love my little boy ^-^ I'm sorry Munchlet, but you're free now! Haha. I haven't played with Munchkin much; just once yesterday evening. That boy couldn't care less if I went to Hell and never came back haha. Oh well, I love you too Munchkin! xP

Oh dear. I'm not religious. This post makes me sound like a Christian or something... hahaha.

R.I.P. Nala

Again, I've been neglecting this blog. oops. mah bad. Anyhow, Nala passed away on July 28th, 2010. It was a peaceful death; she finally stopped squirming in misery a couple hours before the end. The amazing little fella even waited till I got back from Davis to go. I mean, I was gone for four whole days, and she died the night I returned. That's either an insane coincidence, or a pretty amazing hamster. Haha.... Ugh. I'm so incoherent right now. Total brain loss. ~poof~

Updates: July 21, 2010

Wow.... It's been forever since I've posted anything. I'd completely forgotten about this blog haha...

Well, a lot has happened since my last post. The most important thing is probably that Kajsa died. She didn't die of wet tail, but instead, some kind of cancer. We noticed external tumors and stuff, and long story short, she died eventually. It took a little over a month I think, but sure enough, cancer took her. I miss my baby. R.I.P, Kajsa.
Date of Birth: some time in January, most likely
Date of Death: March 19, 2010. I had her for just over a year.

ON A HAPPIER NOTE, my Munchibabies are doing just fine. Amazing little fellows. Actually, Munchkin has had claw problems since forever, and they still haven't been taken care of. He just can't seem to wear them down on his own, that silly little boy. Munchlet doesn't have the same problem, though his claws do get a bit long at times. Munchkin won't let me cut his though... he's so squirmy! These two are definitely my most precious hamsters ever (as if the previous weren't amazing enough...). Munchlet just has the cuuuuuutest little face<3333 and the sweetest personality<3333 such a timid, gentle boy~ hahaha
Date of Birth: July 1, 2009
When I got them: 2009, Aug something or other... mid-Aug, I think. I'll hafta check that some time...
(I forgot to celebrate their bday with em. What fail.)
Forever my babies ^^

Oh! another big piece of news! :D I got a rabbit hahaha. She's a dwarf bunny, about six months old now I think? Give or take a week or two. She's growing up fast, but she's still so tiny! hahaha xD She definitely has grown quite a bit since we got her in February, but she's still very, very small compared to most other DWARF rabbits. She'll still grow some more, but nonetheless, I think she's like me: short/small. hahahha

I'm going off to college in two months; I won't be in San Diego until Christmas break in December... I'm gonna miss my lil babies soooo much... waaah.... I want to smuggle them into the dorm soooooo bad.... At least my Munchies, anyway. Momo (the bunny) is loved by everybody and is cared for by them (for the most part...), so I don't have to worry about her welfare, but the hammies don't get nearly as much attention as they should and deserve. Grawr....

LAST little piece of info for tonight: my best friend, Sunniva Martensson, left for Sweden a few weeks ago, and obviously, her Syrian hamster, Nala(poop), needed a place to stay (permanently), since she so stupidly wouldn't die before her mommy left... She's over two years old, for crying out loud hahaha... Great, right? I get an almost dead hamster to take care of... hahaha j/k j/k I'm totally cool with it. Only problem is, for the past week, she's looked just about ready to leave this world. Yet, for some odd reason, she just won't go. She has hardly any energy left, she's so old... She can hardly walk or eat or anything, really. All she does now is drink and pee, and eat whatever absolutely delicious fresh foods I give her ('cuz she's a fatty spoiled hammy hahaha. How could you resist such tasty morsels, right?). She took my pinto beans today too, but rejected my  green beans. I'm guessing maybe she just doesn't like green beans? But anyway, she's gotten a lot skinnier from lack of food intake, weaker from that and simply her age, and less tidy because of her lack of energy. Every time she walks, it looks like she's gonna fall over.

Lil sis says she thinks Nala's waiting for Sunniva to return. Dude Nala, Sunniva's not coming back. I'm sorry. Please just die in peace... AND BEFORE I GO TO UC DAVIS IN 3 DAYS OMFG! My aunt's not gonna be happy having to care for your corpse while I'm off at orientation... sigh.

This is a ridiculously long post. I'm shuddiing up now :D Until the time years later when I again remember this blog, farewell!

Thanks for reading! hahahahahha

ComPLETEly Recovered!

SHES 100% BACK TO NORMAL NOW!! HOORAY! Just finished dinner, and went to go check on Kajsa. She looked at me, then continued on with her routinely 30-min wash. When she finished, I stuck my hand in, and she wandered around it for a bit. A minute later, she clambered up and ran across my arm, just like usual. For the next 20 minutes, my little sis and I played with our lil baby; it's been so long!

When we put Kajsa back, she jumped around, wanting to come back out. I got more rice for her, but she rejected it, in favor of my hand+arm, which she climbed up in a split second. After that, she REFUSED to go back into her home. I had to make her slide off my hand!

My mom's really glad Kajsa's alright too. Kajsa's her favorite little hammy, besides Tammy, of course. :P My mom, like the rest of us, would've been heartbroken if Kajsa met the same fate as her poor little sister, Ida...

Sweet baby Kajsa. How we've all missed you ;D <3
